Lawn Care Technician
Lawn Care Technician
We’re currently seeking a Lawn Technician with chemical fertilization or pesticide industry experience to work with our residential customers. The ideal applicant will be a self-starter and have a stable work history. We are seeking an individual who has a strong attention to detail and wants to make a difference. This position will be responsible for performing turf applications and lawn renovation services.
Main Position Responsibility
- Mixing and applying turf and tree/shrub care products, read material labels and fill charts.
- Applying fertilizers and insecticides to turf and ornamental plants according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Perform aeration and overseeding services.
- Driving company vehicle to customer location.
- Working independently.
- Communicating with customers, verbally and in writing, about our service and their properties and address different concerns customers have with varying conditions.
- Selling additional services when needed for a property.
This can be the job for you if:
- You have a strong attention to detail and passion for excellence.
- Experience with turf care is beneficial, but not required.
- Ability to work fast paced and produce quality results.
- Knowledge and staying up to date of MSDS and chemical uses.
- Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal formats.
- Must be service oriented to exceed customers’ needs.
- Identify different pest issues and apply applicable chemicals.
- Must be able to effectively work independently.
- Driver’s License Required.
- Have a pesticide license or a willingness to get one.
- Desire to be part of a strong team and grow personally and professionally.
Other Core Job Requirements
- Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts M-F. Some Saturdays may be required during busy seasons.
- Drive company vehicle with pull behind trailer to customer location.
- Assist in sales to current customers through contact on route, diagnosis of issues, measurements, etc.
- Complete production reports, new sales forms, customer invoice forms, daily vehicle inspection report, and cancel/skip notices as required daily.
- Maintains vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.
- Participate in ongoing company provided and ODA training.

Landscape Maintenance Crew Member
Landscape Maintenance Crew Member
In this job you will provide landscape services to residential homes and communities. You’d safely operate commercial grade landscaping equipment and ensure the proper completion of landscape enhancement projects.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Mowing turf, trimming and edging along borders, and blowing using power equipment.
- Pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damaged branches.
- Edging, mulching, and maintaining of landscape beds.
- Seasonal clean ups in spring and fall.
- Lawn care services such as aeration, seeding, etc.
- Picking up trash and debris.
- Other landscape related services as needed.
- Care and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with teammates and customers.
This can be the job for you if:
- You’re at least 18 years old.
- You’re hardworking and dependable.
- You can work 8-10 hours daily and able to lift 50lbs.
- You enjoy working outside in many types of weather.
- You’re able to safely work with both power equipment and landscape tools.

Landscape Enhancement Crew Member

Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader
Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader
The Crew Leader is responsible for directly supervising a crew and performing services. While on the job site they ensure the crew works safely and efficiently while delivering quality jobs on time. This position is responsible for developing and training crew members, planning, assigning and directing work, managing and maintaining material and equipment, and addressing and resolving customer issues. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Performs quality work along with crew. Including but not limited to, mowing/ trimming, bed maintenance, edging/ mulch, pruning, seasonal clean ups, and other tasks as assigned by manager.
- Drives crew to/from/between worksites where needed.
- Assigns daily tasks to crew.
- Ensures crews compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Trains and evaluates the effectiveness of crews.
- Monitors proper use of required personal protective equipment on crew.
- Ensures proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools assigned to/used by assigned crew.
- Communicates crew performance concerns to Manager with recommendations for corrective action.
- Communicate damage or improvement needs to manager.
- Fill out daily paperwork, including time sheets, timely and accurately.
- Facilitate conflict resolution between crew members.
- Works around and operates hand tools and mechanical machinery used for landscape maintenance.
- Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and snow removal equipment. Includes performing preventative maintenance.
- Identifies ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality.
- Communicates with onsite clients as outlined in communication plan.
- Responds properly to the client’s requests; follows up to make sure their needs have been met.
- Keeps manager aware of all client concerns and communication on the job site.
- Maintains safe working conditions on job site at all times; follows and implements all company safety guidelines.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Valid State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- Minimum of two years of professional landscape maintenance experience (or similar service industry experience) .
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current State Technician and/or Applicator license preferred but not required
- General knowledge of horticultural and maintenance practices.
Skills & Abilities Qualifications:
- Organized, hardworking, safety conscious, punctual, leads by example, self-motivated, honest, and customer service-driven.
- Effectively communicates with others, with the ability to read and/or comprehend written and verbal instructions/information.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to train others and exercise leadership skills.
- Demonstrates dependability; consistently be at work and on time, responds to management direction and commits to the required hours for job completion that will vary based on weather/season.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to solve conflict while keeping emotions under control.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct a team in a manner that uses time efficiently.
- Has the aptitude to identify and act on opportunities to help and support work efforts of the team.
- Can safely operate and maintain all equipment used for landscape maintenance.
- Must have endurance necessary to perform these duties throughout a standard eight- or ten-hour day. Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, etc.).
